Power of the Purse is Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest's biggest event of the year. Typically taking place in March, the event engages several of Portland's most well-know 'Purse-o-nalities' and local designers that collaborate to design a one-of-a-kind, high-end purse to be auctioned off in our live auction fashion show starring Girls Inc. girls. Other elements of the event include a local-vendor boutique, dinner, drinks, and several fashionable surprises!

Rappel for Her is Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest's newest - and boldest - event! In partnership with Over the Edge, Girls Inc. supporters have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to raise money to rappel a building in downtown Portland. In its first year (August 2016), Rappel for Her engaged 75 rappellers and raised more than $80,000 from peer-to-peer fundraising to support strong, smart, and bold girls in the Pacific Northwest!

Day of the Girl is an annual luncheon that honors the United Nations' International Day of the Girl in October. Guests gather for lunch to experience a glimpse of Girls Inc. programming - hosted by our very own girls! - and learn more about the mission of Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest and how they can make an impact on girls in their community. We welcome several guest speakers, share a delicious lunch, and celebrate strong, smart, and bold girls in the Pacific Northwest.
